Why gluten and lactose often go together
It is common for people with celiac disease to also have trouble digesting lactose, the sugar in milk, especially early in treatment. Others simply feel better avoiding both. Whatever the reason, having to shop in two places is tiring, so Sabores de Marise offers gluten-free and lactose-free food in the same order.
What comes in a lactose-free version
There are lactose-free options among our gluten-free breads, cakes and pies, sweets and snacks and gluten-free pizza. Not every flavor has a lactose-free version, so tell us on WhatsApp that you need it and we will confirm availability before you pay.
Note: lactose-free is not the same as dairy-free
A lactose-free product may still contain milk protein, so it is not suitable for people with a milk protein allergy. Sabores de Marise does not offer options for milk allergy. If that is your case, follow your doctor's advice.
